Pier Six Pavilion and The Finn Group have announced the launch of Soul on the Water, a new live music series designed to celebrate the influence of Black music while creating a fresh cultural experience along the Inner Harbor. The series will debut during Black Music Month and continue through the fall with performances from acclaimed artists including Tank and the Bangas, Chante Moore, Raheem DeVaughn, Daley and more.

Produced by The Finn Group, the team behind Baltimore’s beloved Jazzy Summer Nights, Soul on the Water builds on a legacy that welcomed more than 100,000 guests during its 25-year run. The new series aims to honor that history while introducing a new generation of music lovers to unforgettable waterfront performances.

More than a concert series, Soul on the Water is being presented as a celebration of storytelling, artistry and cultural expression. Organizers say the goal is to create a gathering place where residents, visitors and music lovers from across the region can experience Baltimore through live music, community and the beauty of the waterfront.

“Soul on the Water was created to celebrate the music, culture and community that have always been part of Baltimore's story,” said LaRian Finney, Managing Partner of The Finn Group. “Following the incredible journey of Jazzy Summer Nights, we saw an opportunity to create something new that honors that legacy while introducing a fresh waterfront experience.”

Finney said the series will bring together legendary artists, emerging voices and music lovers in a setting that reflects Baltimore’s creativity and energy.

The inaugural Soul on the Water season begins Thursday, July 16 at Pier Six Pavilion.
